How to clean your cubic zirconia jewelry

If you own cubic zirconia jewelry you are probably wondering what it takes to keep it clean or how to go about cleaning it.  The following tips are for cubic zirconia jewelry that is set on gold or platinum only.  These tips do not apply for any cubic zirconia jewelry that is set on any other type of metal.
You can use regular jewelry cleaner once every three months to clean your cubic zirconia jewelry, it is completely safe as long as the cubic zirconia is set on real gold or platinum.  It will not hurt your cubic zirconia stones.  Another way to clean your cubic zirconia jewelry is to use dishwashing soap and warm water.  Place a drop of dishwashing soap in a cup of luke warm water, let it sit for half an hour, then use a toothbrush and gently scrub around the stones and gold.
Your jewelry will look like brand new again.  Keep in mind that cubic zirconia stones get dirty faster than real diamonds.  Simply make an effort to remove your cubic zirconia jewelry before showering, washing hands, applying makeup and face powder because the residue from shampoo and soaps and the oil from makeup and powder can cloud a cubic zirconia.  Avoid touching your cubic zirconia stone; the natural oils from your fingers can also dull the shine.  Also avoid using harsh household chemicals as these chemicals can damage your jewelry.  Although most abrasive cleansers will not damage a cubic zirconia, they will, however, take the lustrous shine away.
Making these little efforts will keep your jewelry looking beautiful and brand new.  And of course you can always send the ring back from wherever you bought it from for them to clean and repolish your jewelry for you and also check for loose stones.  Keeping your cubic zirconia jewelry clean will make your jewelry last a lifetime.
